Owain's story
I grew playing a variety of sports but was quickly attracted to the challenge of endurance running. After some consistent performances as a Junior I secured a full athletics scholarship to The University of Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA where I graduated with a BSc Exercise and Sports Science. Off the back of my time in American I spent the next decade working full-time as a PE teacher and improving my 5km and 10km pb’s, running Internationally for Great Britain and Wales.
After moving to Australia, I discovered a new passion in triathlon. I spent the following years transitioning into long course racing with the support of Balmoral Triathlon Club and Energy Link Performance Coaching, I won two Age group World Championships.
