Bar Fly 4 TT Mount Review

β€œA cost effective, verstile and user friendly mounting solution for the TT bike.”

When you race long course triathlon you spend a lot of training and racing starring at your Time Trial bikes cockpit. A cockpit setup that allows for ease of access to your required devices and nutrition can save you a lot of hassle and help with an efficient race strategy.

Training all year round it is also quite time consuming and costly to have multiple sets of lights to fit my road bike and TT bike requirements. The Bar Fly 4 TT mount looks to address that.

I've used the original Bar Fly TT mount on my Giant Trinity for 2 years (old and new Giant model). It was always the easiest and most versatile mount to hold my Garmin and allow ample space for an aerobar hydration setup.

The new Bar Fly 4 TT mount builds upon the previous model to allow for the same tried and trusted TT mount design, but adds the option of being able to also mount your GoPro or bike lights to the same mount with little hassle.

The mount is designed for 22.2 and 24.0 bar extension diameters. To switch mounting brackets on the Bar Fly 4 TT mount it requires only an allen key and the brackets provides by Bar Fly - very easy, even for the non tech savvy!

When I race I just have the TT mount without any additional brackets or accessories.

One of the best additions to the new mount is its versatility to be compatible with the range of computer brands below:

  • Garmin Edge Series and 910XT, 920XT watches
  • Polar M450, V650
  • Wahoo ELEMNT
  • Mio 500, 505, 505HC
  • Magellan 315, 505
  • Powertap Joule
  • Cateye GPS/Wireless
  • Bryton 21, 40, 100, 200, 210, 310
